The 2010 Roadeo is scheduled for June 4-6 at the Wilmington International Airport in conjunction with the North Carolina Public Transportation Conference. This competition brings the best public transit drivers from across North Carolina to test their skills and abilities in the areas of driving, wheelchair boarding and securement, pre-trip inspection and a written test.

Participants will compete in three divisions:

    1. Bus
    2. Van
    3. LTV (Cut-Away)

Training, practice and preliminary activities begin on June 5 for all Roadeo participants. Competition will be held on June 6. Registration takes place on June 4, starting at 5:00 pm.

The roadeo will conclude with an awards luncheon at the Wilmington International Airport where all drivers and judges will be honored and the top winners in the categories will be crowned. Prize drawings will also be given out to contestants and volunteers!

Roadeo Registration

The registration fee is $100 per participant if registration is received by 5:00 pm on Friday, April 30, 2010 and must be received with registration forms. The late registration fee is $150 per Roadeo contestant if submitted after April 30, 2010, but before May 21, 2010. Registrations will not be accepted after May 21, 2010.

Up to two alternates can be entered for each category of competition (no additional fee).
