The DMV Transit Driver System will allow a transit system access to review its drivers' driving history. Systems enrolled in the NC Transit Driver System have the capability to systematically add drivers upon hire, record the termination of employment of drivers and purge employment history of unused data as needed. The transit system may also review the driver history as frequently as needed to determine whether the license status is in good standing as well as monitor occurrences of convictions, suspensions, disqualifications or cancellations a driver may receive. When a violation is recorded on an employee's record the NC Transit Driver System generates correspondence notifying the transit system that the conviction has occurred.
