GOAL OF THE MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

To expand membership by at least 10% annually while striving to retain current members.

Members of the NCPTA represent a diverse group of people - from the large urban system to the smallest of rural systems, bus/van manufacturers, educational entities, private companies, local and state elected officials and individuals interested in public transportation - all working toward one goal: To increase and enhance the awareness of public transportation in North Carolina.

Members have the opportunity to participate and become involved in many events sponsored by the NCPTA, including the Annual Conference, the Bus/Van Roadeo and the Legislative Conference. In addition, members can become involved in any of the four committees: Annual Conference, Finance, Leadership, Lobbying, Legislative & Links, and Membership Development.

NCPTA provides an excellent peer to peer network. Sharing information, ideas and solutions is one of the many advantages of membership.

Upon receipt of the necessary information and dues payment, members will receive a Certificate (suitable for framing), a lapel pin depicting the NCPTA logo and a Directory with a list of officers, current members and a copy of the By-laws. Members will also have access to the NCPTA Webpage, legislative updates and all NCPTA mailings.
