Driving Excellence in Public Transportation

2020 NCPTA Annual Conference & Expo, Roadeo & Golf June Concord, N.C.

April 14, 2020

Dear: System Members and Associate Members/Partners:

The safety and health of our System Members and our Associate Member business partners is the North Carolina Public Transportation Association’s top priority.

Given the current pandemic coronavirus, the NCPTA and the Embassy Suites Charlotte-Concord Golf Resort and Spa (Embassy) have mutually agreed to forego the 2020 NCPTA Conference, Expo, Roadeo and Golf event.  This event will therefore next be held April 9-14, 2021 at the same location.  We hope to see everyone then.

Everyone who has already registered for the 2020 event will receive a full refund.  Please read the following carefully.

  1. If the registration was paid by credit card at the time of registration, please send an email to bizmgr@nctransit.org with a copy to director@nctransit.org noting the following:
    1. The company/system name noted on the registration
    2. The name of the company/system to whom the refund check should be made payable.
    3. The address to where the refund check should be sent.
  2. If the registration was to be paid by check and the check has already been mailed, please send an email to bizmgr@nctransit.orgg with a copy to director@nctransit.org noting the following:
    1. The company/system name noted on the registration
    2. The address to where the check should be returned.
  3. If the registration was to be paid by check and the check has not already been mailed, please don’t send it.

As much as the Association is disappointed that the 2020 event cannot be held as planned, we are grateful for the cooperation of the Embassy in helping make this decision free of any financial penalties.  In return, the Association has only had to agree to extend its annual stay at the Embassy though 2023 so as to provide the Embassy with the three (3) year agreement originally agreed to by the Association.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank the Executive Committee, the Executive Director, and the Business Manager in helping the Association navigate through this difficult time.  Please stay safe and healthy.
