Transit officials and community leaders officially opened the new Martin County Transit Center in Williamston this week. The county partnered with the North Carolina Department of Transportation to upgrade and renovate an existing county owned property.
Martin County Public Transportation serves more than 600 customers with transit service to healthcare providers and employment centers.
NCDOT data shows that the economic impact of public transit in Martin County is $453,000.
